Bardonecchia and its valleys offer an infinite number of alternatives for those who love walking in the mountains: trails, mule tracks and military roads from the bottom of the valley to the mountain peaks, from 1,300 to 3,500 metres. The vast variety of trails are appropriate for all enthusiasts: those who simply like walking, the precise excursionist and the most demanding alpine climber.
Long sunny itineraries and walks through spruce and tamarack woods to reach the most notable peaks in Bardonecchia and Upper Susa Valley: the Guglia Rossa, the Val Fredda, the Tre Croci, the Sommeiller Glacier, Mount Tabor and the Pierre Menue peak, with the possibility of a pleasant overnight stay in a mountain hut or the numerous high-altitude alpine houses.

By car

via the A32 Turin-Frejus toll highway or using the SS 24, SS 25 and SS 332 state highways in Susa Valley.


By train

via the international Milan-Paris railway line, Bardonecchia is the last Italian station at the entrance to the Frejus tunnel and the Turin-Bardonecchia-Modane line.
